What is the essential "Truth" of this famous Twilight Zone episode?

My opinion:
The truth of the episode is that now that there are weapons that only can be found in the minds of a human being. Prejudice can kill and suspicion can destroy; without us knowing things, there would be lots of conflict.

How does the director reveal this truth?

My opinion:
The director reveals this truth by showing behind what the episode was about. For example, the director made there be something going on behind the chaos, because the aliens were testing the neighborhood to see how they would react to a power outage with nothing to do. The people became very suspicious of everyone because they did not know what happened and who did it.

What are some differences you noticed in finding truth in a film/television show vs. finding truth in a work of fiction?

My opinion:
The differences is that you see visuals and you hear sounds in films/TV. In fiction, it just shows a message in the the reading, but you have to find it.
