What is the importance of storytelling?

My opinion:
 I think the importance of storytelling is to entertain and teach people. People tell funny, scary, sad, happy stories to make the listeners feel all these kind of emotions. Stories influence us in so many ways like, to do things we have never done, to feel things we have never felt, to learn things that we’ve never been taught, and etc. A story is something that everyone should hear.

How can our society benefit from storytelling?

My opinion:
I think that our society can benefit from storytelling by learning about life lessons in the stories and develop a great imagination. Most stories has messages like don’t judge a person by how you see them, don’t trust anyone, love conquers all, conquer your fears, don't let anyone bring you down, and etc. Stories makes people imagine things like never before.
