The article the article does contradict Google’s policies because Google says that when they take your data, they make it better for you. But, Google does not explain explain and go deep into the information.

Yes I would because if I do not agree to the policies then I can’t get surtain things like, gmails or apps.
Do you trust companies like Google?
From what I’ve heard from these articles, I do not really trust Google that much anymore, but I have no choice but to continue using it since all my gmails and other accounts are with it.
What specific policy would you change?
I would change the policy where you have to agree with their terms of policy because without agreeing to the terms, you don’t get the product you wanted. I would change this policy by making us have a choice whether to give them your personal information or say no and still get the product you wanted.
