Reflect on Demetri Martin describes humor as an intentional act with a purpose. Do you think this is true? Have you been aware of this notion before?
I think this is some what true and I have been aware of this notion before. I think that's some what true because some humor is not intentional and most humor is. It really depends on the what the person is doing, in my opinion.
In what way is Abbott & Costello's comedy an intentional act with a purpose? Are there other components of comedy mentioned by Martin that are present in "Who's on First?"
Abbott and Costello's comedy is an intentional act with a purpose because Abbott and Costello planned and practiced it as you can see in the video and the purpose of their performance was to entertain the audience and maybe even themselves.
